Gamma

Gamma is an AI-powered presentation and document tool that generates complete, designed slide decks from a brief text input or outline. It removes the most time-consuming parts of building presentations—layout, visual design, and formatting—so you can focus on content and message instead of fighting with slide software.

What it is

Gamma is a web application for creating presentations, documents, and web pages. You start with a topic or paste an outline, and the AI generates a full deck with text, suggested imagery, icons, and a consistent visual theme. You can then edit individual slides in a block-based editor, swap themes, regenerate specific sections, or add your own content. Gamma also supports embedding live links, videos, and interactive elements directly in slides—outputs work as a web page you can share by URL, or you can export to PowerPoint or PDF.

What it’s best at

  • Generating a complete presentation draft in minutes from a prompt or bullet-point outline
  • Producing visually consistent, professional-looking decks without design skills
  • Creating shareable, interactive web-based presentations with embedded media
  • Converting written content (reports, documents) into visual presentation format quickly
  • Iterating on structure and content without the overhead of traditional slide software

How operators use it

A consultant pitching a new client enters a five-bullet brief and has a ten-slide deck ready to review in three minutes. They spend another twenty minutes refining messaging and swapping a couple of images—total prep time under thirty minutes for a polished deliverable. A founder preparing a team all-hands pastes their notes from a strategy session into Gamma and gets a structured presentation back, organized and designed, that they can walk through directly. A trainer building workshop materials uses Gamma instead of Google Slides because sharing a URL is simpler than managing file versions.

Getting started & pricing

Gamma’s free plan includes 400 AI credits (each generation costs credits) and unlimited manual editing of created content. The Plus plan ($10/month billed annually) gives 400 credits per month, removes the Gamma watermark from exports and shared links, and adds custom domain sharing. The Pro plan ($20/month) adds unlimited AI generations, advanced analytics, and custom fonts. The free tier is enough to evaluate whether the AI output quality fits your needs before paying. Most operators who use it regularly move to Plus quickly because the watermark on shared links is noticeable in professional contexts.

Bottom line

Gamma solves a real productivity problem: presentations take disproportionate time for the value they deliver, and most of that time is spent on formatting rather than thinking. If you build client decks, internal presentations, or training materials regularly, Gamma’s AI generation cuts the initial build time dramatically. The output is not as customizable as PowerPoint and the design templates are recognizable to frequent users of the tool, but for most business presentations the quality is more than adequate and the time savings are significant.
