My name is Carlos Franco, and this about page was not written with AI at all! Welcome to my SMB OS website, my own private space to talk about and share my journey - particularly in the new era of AI. Below is a brief overview of what all will be included in the site, a little about myself, and some insights I've learned about using AI almost 98% of the time in my day-to-day work as an AI Enablement expert.

What is AI Enablement?

The standard definition for AI Enable is (straight from Google): AI Enablement prepares an organization to adopt, scale, and integrate artificial intelligence into daily operations. It's a term I recently heard during an interview, and it was something that peaked my interest. For the past two months, I have been working almost exclusively as an AI enablement consultant - where I leverage everything I know about AI to turbo charge a company's ability to move faster and learner towards a goal. I'll post some more about this on my audio posts, but at the core my job as-it-stands-today is to take AI and help an organization adopt it to scale.

What is SMB OS?

When I first started my AI journey, my head immediately went to, "I need to start my agency." So like most ideas I get, I immediately started doing all the background work to get a website setup, and got a logo, bought a domain, registered a STRIPE, but never really focused in on looking for clients. Fast forward a year later, and now I finally find myself with the ability to create, and talk about AI from the position of an almost expert level - as it relates to what most people would be able to leverage AI for. So I naturally came back to the name, branding, and domain that I had setup a year ago, SMB OS - and am going to leverage that work I did to publish my different series. Oh and by the way the name stands for Small Business Operating System if you hadn't already guessed.

What you'll get from this website...

Today, June 15, 2026 - there are a handful of people in South Florida who know (kind-of) just how capable I have become with AI in the last ten months. I consume AI content throughout the day, every day, and am always learning and gathering new knowledge in the pursuit of my client work. When I was thinking about what I should do to expand my AI journey, it naturally occurred to me to begin teaching people, but then I started wondering what can be my delivery method so that way I'm not just trading more dollars for hours. Part of my client work includes conversations about things like Substack for financial-adjacent industries. I started investigating and I found an open-source solution called Ghost that lets you publish almost like a blog or daily posts within a self-contained platform. I set it up, and that's how we come to this current website.

What can you expect from this site?

  • I'm going to be doing build-with-me video sessions that are also published for free to YouTube.
  • I'm going to start vlogging about my AI journey.
  • I'm going to start teaching specific things to help you with your AI journey.
  • I'm going to offer a $9.99/month subscription that lets you download all of the build-with-me and learning things that I am going to cover for free on video. If you just want to jump, not having to build it out yourself, or if you want to support me in my journey, I'll have that membership there.

My overall goal is to just create a small space for myself to help people out who want to be helped and to begin documenting a lot of the things and methodologies that I come across. There are lots of levels to this stuff:

  • Just casual AI users who work in chat.
  • People who create projects for shared memory.
  • File system co-work and Claude Code people.
  • Slightly more advanced application development for internal Linux internal things.
  • A whole realm of AI that I haven't even gotten to myself.

The main goal here is going to be to document and provide access to others so that they can leverage the time that I spend on AI and apply it to their everyday lives and their businesses. I'm not going to be an influencer and tell you, "Hey, go start an AI business," or "Hey, go do this," or "Hey, I'm this," or "Hey, I'm that." Simply just going to document what I'm doing as best as I can, record it on video, include what I can, and then, as a community develops, we'll start doing build suggestions.
